Chai latte: choose this delicious, spicy hot drink. Chai is the word for tea in India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey and other Arab countries, for example.
A traditional chai latte is a mixture of black spicy tea and milk.
We make the Paulies Chai latte with black tea, cloves, star anise, cinnamon, cardamom and Paulies Original and vegetable (coconut) milk.
Supplies:
- teapot
- strainer or tea bag
- whisk or electric milk frother
Ingredients:
For a whole pot of tea (500-700ml) (you can also opt for a ready-made tea bag, Chai Latte flavor.
- 4 tablespoons black tea loose tea
- 4 cloves
- 2 star anise
- 1 or 2 cinnamon sticks
- pinch of cardamom powder
- Per cup of tea, which you pour into the tea glass itself.
- 20ml Paulies Ginger Original
- 100 ml barista coconut drink
Paulies Perfect Serve:
- Fill the tea filter bag with the black loose tea, cloves, star anise and cardamom powder.
- Hang the filled tea filter bag in a teapot.
- Add the cinnamon sticks.
- Pour about 500 to 700 ml of boiling water over it.
- Let it steep for at least 10 minutes.
- Heat the coconut drink while whisking until frothy. This can be done with a whisk, but also with an electric milk frother.
- Take a large tea glass, add Paulies Ginger Original.
- Pour the black spicy tea up to 3/4 of the tea glass.
- Stir everything.
- Pour the frothy milk on top.
- Garnish if necessary. with some black pepper.
