🌿 The power of our base: ginger, turmeric, and lemon

Our drinks are based on three pure plant ingredients that naturally have a low glycemic index (GI). This means they hardly affect your blood sugar.

🫚 Ginger

Ginger is low in carbohydrates and is usually used in small quantities.

  • GI: very low (± 10–15 or practically 0)
  • Effect on blood sugar: negligible
  • Is even associated with more stable glucose levels

🌼 Turmeric

Turmeric has been used for thousands of years in Ayurveda and contains hardly any digestible carbohydrates.

  • GI: practically 0

🍋 Lemon — fresh and blood sugar-friendly

Lemon contains little sugar and a lot of acids and fibers that slow down the absorption of sugars.

  • GI: ± 20 (low)
  • Can help temper blood sugar spikes

🌿 Why we choose agave

When sweetening our drinks, we consciously choose organic agave syrup. Agave has a relatively low glycemic index (± 17–19), significantly lower than regular white sugar (± 65).

That means:

✨ More even energy
✨ Less chance of a “sugar crash”

Agave consists largely of fructose, which means the body processes it differently than glucose-rich sugar.
