From pulp to beautifully scented natural soap bars – how we give residual products a second life
When we press our organic ginger and turmeric drinks at Paulies, a potent residual product remains after pressing the juice: ginger and turmeric pulp. Intensely fragrant, packed with active ingredients – too valuable to simply throw away.
As a sustainable company, we are constantly looking for ways to optimally utilize our ingredients. What can we do with this rich pulp? We experimented extensively: we made muesli, muesli bars... but to be honest, the 'wow' effect was missing. It just wasn't quite right.
Until Paulie bought a handmade soap for his wife Yvonne at a Christmas market. That lovely scent and the sustainability of a soap bar instead of plastic bottles sparked an idea. What if we made soap from our own ginger and turmeric pulp? And so it began.
We tested dozens of variations in the shower, perfected the recipes, and ultimately collaborated with Beesha to develop two unique, natural soaps:
🧼 Ginger Orange – fresh, fruity, uplifting and warming
🧼 Turmeric Warm & Spicy – full, earthy and gentle on the skin
Our soaps are traditionally made from vegetable oils and our own organic pulp. The result?
A soft, nourishing soap with a wonderful scent – straight from nature.
What was once 'waste' is now a pure product in itself.
The soaps still need to comply with the Cosmetics legislation. We are still waiting for the final tests, and then... you too can enjoy these wonderful, circular care products.
